Smaller places
Every Census-designated place in America below the 2,500-resident static floor — towns, villages, and CDPs served on demand, with the same presidential record and ACS demographics as the rest of the atlas.
How the place tiers split
Incorporated places with more than 2,500 residents are published as static pages under
Cities. Everything below that floor is rendered on
demand here at /place/{geo_id} — the same record, built per request rather than
pre-baked. A place that crosses the floor is promoted, and its /place/ URL
redirects to the new /city/ page, so a link made today keeps working.
Finding one
Search from any page in the atlas — the site search covers the long tail as well as the static tiers. Or start from a state and work down through its counties and cities.

What each page carries
The presidential record its geography supports, ACS demographics, the places and districts it sits inside, and a named source for every figure — the same provenance contract as counties and cities. See Methodology for how the record is built.
