Demographics
With a 2024 presidential margin of R+69.8, this district ranks among the most heavily one-sided constituencies in the state, reflecting the deep-rural demographic and regional patterns that define much of interior Mississippi.
The unraveling was not abrupt. The Democratic margin in Mississippi 41st State Senate District peaked at ninety-four points in 1936; it narrowed steadily over the late twentieth century. The economic and demographic context is severe. The median household income of $51,191 is among the lowest at this geographic scale; 19% of residents live below the federal poverty line.
