2026-08-13 — Documentation system overhaul
- Established one canonical product vision, current-state reference, surface catalog, and two-database architecture reference.
- Reconciled contradictory product counts by removing volatile totals from orientation documents.
- Expanded public documentation for product surfaces and database architecture.
- Added body-text search across documentation.
- Added a machine-readable estate manifest and repo-wide documentation inventory gate.
- Removed obsolete archive, drill-down, playbook, prompt, handoff, and superseded status material; Git history remains the recovery record.
- Kept candidate categorization and non-major-party “Other” work outside this change pending its separate implementation.
2026-07-20 — Public documentation foundation
- Added the public documentation hub, data contracts, methodology, API, citation, glossary, FAQ, legal guide, and lifecycle metadata.
- Established the 1892–2024 complete presidential-history contract and partial labeling for 1876–1888.
