Little won by 20 points in 2022 after fending off a far-right primary challenge from Janice McGeachin, and his approval remains solid. Idaho is R+28 by PVI and last elected a Democratic governor in 1990 (Cecil Andrus). Terri Pickens ran for Lt. Governor in 2022 and gives Democrats a candidate on the ballot, but there’s no realistic scenario where this is competitive. The more interesting question is whether Little faces another primary challenge from his right, not whether Democrats can win.
